Instructions – chatapp

This document explains how to use the chatapp on both mobile and desktop.

            Important:

            chatapp allows real-time chat without using a phone number.  
            You can join rooms, create rooms, and open private chats.
        

1. Installation & Login

On Android:

Go to the download page: https://myproduct.co.il/landing.php
Download the APK file and install it.
If prompted, allow installation from unknown sources.
Open the app after installation.

On desktop (Web version):

Open any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.).
Go to: https://myproduct.co.il/docportal/index.php?view=login
Use the chat directly in your browser — no installation needed.

2. Choosing a Username

The app does not require a phone number. Simply choose a username. You may change it anytime.

3. Chat Rooms

Joining an existing room:

A list of available rooms appears after login.
Click a room to open it.
If the room is password-protected, enter the required password.

Creating a new room:

Select "Create Area" or "Create Room".
Enter a room name.
Optionally set a password for restricted access.
Confirm to create the room.

4. Private Messages

Inside any room, you will see a list of users.
Click a username you want to contact privately.
Select "Private Chat" (if available).
A private conversation window will open between both users.

5. Sending Messages

Type your message in the input box.
Click “Send” or press Enter (on desktop).
Messages appear instantly in real time.
New incoming messages from others update automatically.

6. Online Users Display

The app shows how many users are currently connected.
In rooms, it may also show a detailed list of connected users.

7. Logging Out

Use the “Logout” option if available.
Closing the browser or app also disconnects your session.
Usernames are typically not saved permanently.

8. Troubleshooting

If the chat does not load, refresh the page.
On Android, ensure the installation completed successfully.
Check your internet connection.
Restart the app if necessary.
