Help – chatapp
This page provides quick solutions to common issues when using the app and the web version.
1. Chat is not loading
If the chat does not appear or loads slowly:
- Check that you have an active internet connection.
- On desktop – refresh the page (F5).
- On Android – close the app and open it again.
- Try logging in again with a username.
2. Cannot enter a room
- Check if the room is password-protected – make sure the password is correct.
- If the room was removed or changed, it may no longer be available.
- In case of high load, wait a few seconds and try again.
3. Not seeing all users
The system shows active users only. Some users may have left the room or disconnected.
- Try leaving the room and entering again.
- Wait a few seconds – the online list is updated periodically.
4. Messages are not sent
- Check your internet connection.
- If a message seems “stuck”, try sending it again.
- Restart the app (especially on Android).
5. Android installation issues
- Verify that the APK file was fully downloaded.
- If prompted about “Unknown source”, enable installation in device settings.
- Uninstall an older version and install the latest one.
6. Problems in the web version
- Make sure you are using an up-to-date browser (Chrome / Edge / Firefox).
- Refresh the page if something looks stuck.
- Clearing cache may help in some cases.
7. Opening a private chat
- Inside a room, locate the user in the online users list.
- Click the user’s name and choose “Private chat” (if available).
- If it does not appear, the user may no longer be online.
